Good evening everyone and welcome to my latest blog post! I hope you are all having a good week so far!

Last year when I first started writing on my blog, I shared all the places that I would like to see in my lifetime or asap as I am totally impatient and want to see and do everything now! 😉 The list hasn’t really changed but I thought I would update it anyway!

Usually I have lots of trips planned to different countries but this year I don’t feel like going too far from home but I still yearn to travel… It’s a weird one to get your head around I know! Each year I like to have one big holiday planned and a few city breaks but I haven’t anything really booked in that respect. When I travel I like to book into nice hotels and make the most of my time away – I always say, I don’t want to stay in a bed worse than my own at home 😉

I have had my fair share of holidays so far this year but I’m not visiting anywhere I haven’t been before! So far I have been to Italy, Austria & Spain – see what I mean by staying closer to the UK 😉 Next month I am off to Bulgaria, when I go there I feel like I am going home. We have an apartment and we literally do nothing other than sun bathe, eat and sleep – which is what a holiday is all about after all!

Now enough of all that and onto my bucket list:

Caribbean – we cruised around the Caribbean last September but I really want to go back and spend more time in either Antigua or Barbados

Thailand – I’ll be honest with you, I don’t fancy bangkok. If I visit I would prefer to island hop as they all look so beautiful and I don’t think I would be able to choose between them! First one on my list is definitely Koh Samui!

Amalfi Coast – I can’t decide where I would like to go to the most but Sorrento looks to the one that stands out the most. I have no excuse not to go now as Jet2 have just announced they are starting to fly to Naples from Belfast from next May!! Perfect

Deep South – USA – This has been on my mind for awhile, I even have a route planned out in my head but I want to take 2-3 weeks at it but just at the minute with work I can’t make the time. Nashville and New Orleans are top of my list – Country music in Nashville and Jazz in New Orleans 🙂 I also want to go on a swamp boat tour! Maybe next year! 🙂

Santorini – How beautiful is Santorini in any pictures you see! The white building and the blue roofs <3<3 . I always said that I would do a cruise that would include Santorini but the more I read up about it the most I want to spend a week in it!

Prague – I almost booked Prague for this month but the flight time on the way back into Dublin was at silly o’clock so no way was I going! Ha 😉 on top of that the flights can be ridiculously expensive

Copenhagen – New to the list – relatively cheap to fly & stay but I have heard it can be expensive to be there! The different coloured building are what attract me to go

Australia – I always think of Australia further down my list when I am thinking of places to go. Yes I would love to visit but I’m not totally drawn to it – if I do go I would like to spend a minimum of 1 month there to make the most of it! I’m sure it is totally amazing but at the minute I am happy enough to leave it on my list for a while.

Croatia – Another place closer to home! I’m not sure what attracts me to want to visit Croatia but I just have this notion! I want to visit when it is warm and maybe take part in the island hopping they have! I need to do more research into!

Not much has changed in terms of my bucket list for travelling! I am aiming to have visited each of the places above in the next 5 years! I am maybe being a bit extravagant in saying that but you have to set yourself some goals in life whether it be in work or your personal life! 🙂

Thank you as always for reading and I hope you enjoyed! If you have any tips or tricks for any of these places then do please let me know! I love to have lots of info when I’m travelling to new places! 🙂

I will have a new Friday Five post live this Friday at 7pm if you fancy checking back! 🙂

  1. I know what you mean about travelling and staying closer to home. Though saying that I took the big leap and travelled by myself to Boston last year and even though I hated the waiting in the airport on the way there I had an absolute adventure when I got over there!

I think though I’ve been so focused on the US and trying to see so many states over there that I’ve neglected Europe a little, even though I have a lot of places on my bucket list I would love to see over this side of the world. I’ll definitely have to go back and have a look now since you’ve posted this 🙂 Remind myself where I would like to go!

Mum is in love with Krakow at the moment so I definitely think it’s a possibility of a weekend trip this year, would love to do Sorrento/Italy! And maybe go back and see Lanzarote!

    1. Wow, good on you for travelling to Boston on your own! I’m sure it was a great confidence booster! I was so focused on the states for the last 4 years that’s it’s just time to give it a break! Lol Kraków is a beautiful city – I also have a post on Kraków back in November! I’m sure you will enjoy wherever you visit!! X
